This light gamefishing combo is extremely versatile, it can be used for trolling for both Marlin and Tuna, Switchbaiting and Skipbaiting. Using 15kg for Marlin and Tuna can give you an advantage as it allows you to run lighter gauge hooks and lighter leaders which will increase both your strike and hookup rate. The lighter hooks can be very helpful when chasing Stripes and Inshore Blacks as these fish are notorious for missing strikes and pulling hooks. The Custom Fishfinder rods are purpose built for our store, they have a lovely soft tip but they load up quickly in the butt giving you optimal power over fish. The reputation of the Shimano Tiagra speaks for itself and there is a reason why just about every game boat in the world has one of these reels on board. They have a smooth, powerful drag, plenty of torque and are extremely water resistent.
