Since the Shmano Switchbait is a hard guide rod it is completely braid friendly, fishing braid on 37kg rods gives you an advantage as it means you can use 50W reels instead of 80W. Smaller reels are good if you fish standup or want to switchbait, although these kinds of fishing can still be done on an 80W.
