Despite its lightweight the Vanford is a bulletproof reel and can handle spray and being banged around in the boat. The Vanford also has a solid drag system which can handle the long screaming runs of a Longtail or big Kingfish. The Blade N Tails has an impressive backbone so dont be afraid to tie heavier leaders such as 60-80lbs and really lock up on big fish.
