Since the Shmano Switchbait is a hard guide rod it is completely braid friendly, fishing braid on 37kg rods gives you an advantage as it means you can use 50W reels instead of 80W. Smaller reels are good if you fish standup or want to switchbait, although these kinds of fishing can still be done on an 80W. The Talica is an extremely strong reel and will be able to handle heavier drag that you will run when using 37kg. The Shimano switchbait rods are designed for... that right they are Specialist Switchbaiting rods although they are perfectly fine to troll with.
