This Combo is the heaviest in the range of the Daiwa Overthere rod range, the rod is designed for casting bigger Hardbodies and Metals when you need the distance. The rod will cast lures from 25-100g giving you a broad range of lure sizes to choose from. It will cast an 80g metal a mile and handle larger species like Mackerel, Cobia, and Kingfish without an issue but is not overly heavy so you will still have fun on smaller species like Tailor, Salmon and Bonito. The reel is the Shimano Saragosa and is another one of Shimano's work horse reels that wont fail you and comes with Shimano's 10 Year Australian Warranty. The Braid is Daiwa J Braid Grand 30lb 300m, it is a great casting line that breaks at the 40lb mark so will give you plenty of stopping power.
