Daiwa Saltist LW 30 & Shimano Extraction 6ft8 Overhead Fishing Combo

We put this combo together for bottom bashing for Snapper, Pearlies and any reef fish up north. The 6ft8 extraction has a nice soft tip which is great for detecting bites, the extra legnth of the 682 means you'll be able to leave this rod in the holder on a drift as the rod will keep your line away from the boat. The 23 Saltist LW is a lightweight, compact overhead reel which pairs up with the extraction perfectly. It has a smooth drag system and the line guide will help avoid the headache of manually setting the linelay of your reel when you fish. Although we put this combo together for bottom bashing it will work great as a light trolling or slowjig combo.
