The Rod is the Saltist 5'6'' Deep Drop, the Saltist does not have a Roller tip, so the advantage is that you do not have a roller tip to worry about cleaning and maintaining. The disadvantage id if you are fishing two rods on a rough day you have to keep an eye on it as the reason the roller tips are on a lot of deep drop rods it to prevent line getting wrapped up on the tip when the boat rolls side to side.
