It has a 7-25g cast rating so it can cast all you Squidgie fish sizes right up to the 110mm or any other large soft plastics you might like using, the reel is a Shimano 21 Nasci 2500 and is an awesome value for money reel and has a very nice drag system, combine this with the softness in the tip of the 21 Jewel 702 rod you will not pull hooks on fish. The combo comes spooled with 150yds of Shimano Power pro yellow in 10lb that will more than enough strength to catch any Flathead and still light enough to get good distance on light lures when fishing Shallow water.
