The illusive Jewfish is a favourite sportfish of many anglers, they live in rivers, harbours and bays and extend their range to our inshore reefs. We at Ottos enjoy targetting them and will select an assortment of lures that will give you the best chance at it, we will select Soft Vibes first and Foremost as we find them extremely effective, they are an easy lure to use and quite heavy for the profile making it a lot easier to know when you're on the bottom and help you keep the lure in the strike zone for longer. Paddle tail plastics are another very effective lure for them as they love the thumping vibration given out and are a much more effective lure in shallow water (less than 5 meters) than vibes.
