Very little varies between kingfish lures for in shore reefs and Harbours and Estuaries other than Size, Harbours and estuaries is where the smaller profiles work better as there is a tendency to be smaller Kingfish that will shy away from big lures. Another reason is the Baitfish are smaller so the kingfish get fixated on the smaller size. All in all the smaller profiles will also catch more Tailor, Salmon, Bonito and other small inshore pelagic species making for a great day out. The lures will be small stickbaits and small poppers such as Halco's and Suga Penn's that have proven themselves as great fish catching lures time and time again. Topwater strikes are unlike anything else and by far the best fun, but Kingfish dont always want topwater lures and this is where the soft plastics really come into play as you can cover the whole water column.
