Medium Spin Slow Jig Combo Saltist V2 SJS6-3 and Shimano Socorro 

This is the alrounder in the Daiwa Saltist V2 Range, being a PE 3 it can handle bigger Kingfish and has more stopping power to get fish like Cod and Grouper out of their hidy holes. The rod is rated for jigs from 120g-300g meaning you have a lot of options covered right out to the 200m mark. The PE 3 we use is Daiwa J Braid Grand that breaks at the 40lb mark so gives you more stopping power if needed. The reel is the Shimano Socorro 6000 and is a light weight reel that has ample drag and comes with Shimano Australia's 10 year warranty.

Combining Daiwa’s HVF graphite with newly released X45X Full Shield technology, the action and responsiveness of these rods has to be seen to be believed for the price. X45X Full Shield graphite increases torsional stiffness, which reduces blank twist under load. Something that is important in a jigging rod where the up and down motion of working a jig can mean a lot of lost potential energy through twisting of the rod blank. By reducing this twisting force, the rod recovers much faster meaning the action of your jig will be improved.
