Tied on Gamakatsu L11S 3H hooks in either #4 or #8, the Ascension Bay Shrimp is an excellent modern design, and a perfect addition to any Saltwater fly box, especially if you are targeting Bream, Perch or Flathead, or even Bones and Permit around rocky or weedy structure where a weed guard is required.

The sparkly fibres create a nice amount of reflection without being too “flashy” – an excellent trait for fishing in areas where fish have seen a lot of brighter flies and super realistic crustacean eyes finish them off to be real tasty looking critters.
