Shimano Citica and Daiwa Tatula XT Baitcast Combo Low Speed

The Citica and Tatula Baitcast combos are best suited to fishing for species such as Barramundi, Jew and other medium sized fish you find in river and estuary systems. There is both a high and low speed reel picked for these combos, we feel that the low speed reel is better suited to vibing and throwing soft plastic lures deeper in the water column. Hence why we have matched it with the 6ft 12kg Tatula XT as the rod has more backbone and you can quickly bring fish up from the bottom, avoiding bust offs. The high speed Citica is better suited to angler who is casting shallow hardbodies up gutters for Barramundi or deeper crankbaits up the back of snags. The longer rod means you can cast your lures further and the boat can sit further away from where you are fishing, additionally the rod is a bit lighter making it easier to fish with over long periods of time. These setups are spooled with Shimano PowerPro, this braid is highly abrasion resistant which is ideal when fishing in heavy structure.

X45 radically improves rod strength and durability by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form. The elimination of this twist allows for a lighter, stronger and more powerful and sensitive rod
