Shimano Status & Plays 3000 PE5 Electric Deep Drop Combo

When fishing depths from 60 meters out to 150 meters using a medium heavy electric combo is an ultra efficent way to target species such as Snapper, Mulloway, Trag and even Blue Eye and Grouper. The soft tip of the Status Elite light deep drop rod makes it a great option when chasing these fish as extra load up gives you a better hook up ratio, and when bringing in fish the slow blank absorbs pressure reducing the likelyhood of you pulling hooks. This is a bent butt rod, meaning you can fish it both in the hand and the rod holder. The Plays 3000 is a solid Electric reel with good drag capability and overall has been designed to be simple to use and most importantly reliable. We spooled this combo with J-Braid x4 50lbs
