Shimano Plays & Daiwa Seaborg DG Electric Fishing Combo

For those who want a reliable electric combo that can do it all from Snapper and Pearlies to Gemfish and Blue eye, this combo is for you. The Plays and Seaborg wont break the bank meaning its a perfect combo if you are just starting out deep dropping, both the rod and reel are new releases from Shimano & Daiwa and are packed will all the latest tech and innovation to improve you chances of landing big fish.

The Plays 4000 is the middle ground between light handheld electric reels and the XL reels you can set in the holder and let the boat do all the lifting. It fits 500m of PE6 Braided line not too heavy to drift in shallower waters for Snapper and other Demersals but still strong enough to allow you to drop heavy sinkers and baits in the deep. The Plays has a Hagane body, meaning it is rigid and wont flex under its heavy 15 kg drag capacity.

The Daiwa Seaborg DG PE5/6 is a light rod and comfortable to use in hand, although if you are solo or use larger sinkers its extra length will allow you to leave it in the holder. It has a nice soft tip, great for detecting bites even when you are fishing over 250m down. When hooked up you will be impressed by how much pressure this rod is able to handle, it has a very strong backbone and will have no issue bringing in larger fish or ripping fish up the water column past sharks. 

We've chose Daiwa J-Braid x4 65lbs for this combo, x4 braid is abrasion resistant and very strong whilst having impressive knot tying qualities. It is essential to run multi colour braid when deep dropping so you can keep track of where your bait is in the water column.
