The Stella SW D & Saltica LC is the pinnacle of casting combos perfect if you want to throw stickbaits, poppers and diving poppers over the reef flats, at headlands or through bust ups. The Daiwa Saltiga LC is considered a high performance casting rod, it's stiff enough to work large faced poppers with ease. Yet, it has enought movment and feel in the tip to get optimal action out of your floating stickbaits and diving poppers. This rod will also send out metal slugs and sinking stickbaits a mile. The Stella SW D 8000 is a workhorse reel with great sealing and plenty of drag. We suggest using PE4 if you are chasing fish such as Coral Trout, Red Bass & other reefies as well as pelagics like Longtail Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia and Queenfish. We chose Sufix 832 braid for this combo as it is casts very well and has great abrasion resistance.
