The Shimano Stradic FL is well sealed and can handle saltwater spray due to its X-Protect technology. The Stradic also has a very smooth drag even under heavy pressure which is important when choosing a reel to chase Pelagic fish on. Daiwa's Wilderness rod conveniently fold down into either 4 or 5 sections allowing for easy transportation, wheather that be on a plane, bus or in a car. These rod have a responsive graphite blank and do a good job of soaking up headshakes and tailbeats from fish reducing the likelyhood of you pulling hooks. Light and Smooth Reeling Micromodule gear II has evolved with the most advanced tooth surface design to create the ideal gear tooth shape. This reduces noise and creates smooth reeling.

SILENT DRIVE 
Seamless Gear Engagement From the fundamental, whole body design to the most intricate parts of the drive train, including the drive gear, wormshaft, wormshaft pin and wormshaft gear, every piece has been carefully reviewed, and the smallest clearance gaps and wobbles have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.  

X-PROTECT 
Superior Saltwater Resistance By combining the internal water repellent and the labyrinth structure, it achieves performance that can repel water without losing the lightness of rotation. This features in the line roller section and the roller clutch assembly (anti-reverse). As a result, the durability of the line roller has been improved more than five times (compared to our conventional product).

AR-C SPOOL
