The Sakana III 10ft6 is the ideal light surf rod, it has a soft tip which is good for bite detection and its length means that you will have no issue casting your baits into deeper water behind the breaking waves. Once hooked up you will notice that the Sakana III is very forgiving as soaks up the pressure from running fish. This is important as typically when casting baits for Whiting, e.c.t you are using small, thin hooks, the Sakanas ability to deal with headshakes and runs will result in less pulled hooks.
