The Stradic 14000 is a strong reel, its metal body has less entry points for sand and water whilst also giving the reel a rigid feel. The Stradic can handle saltwater spray which is an essential feature of an offshore reel as typically when fishing in the ocean your gear tends to get wet. The reel has an impressive 15 kilograms of drag which is certainly enough to stop a GT or big Kingy. The Monster Mesh comes in at 8ft long meaning you can maximise your casting distance, this helps as you can keep the boat further away from the headlands and bommies you are fishing, therefore your vessel will be both in calmer and safer waters. You can also cast into schools of bait on the surface from further away in order not to scare them down. Fishing with a longer rod gives the angler more leverage on the fish accounting for an easier and quicker fish, due to this you are less likely to get busted off, sharked or pull hooks.
