This is a solid jigging combo and can be used for a variety of species such as Tuna, Trevally, Coral Trout and Nannygai up North or Kingfish, Amberjack and Snapper on the east coast. The Stradic SW is tough as nails, built for saltwater, offshore fishing. The Stradic can handle saltwater spray and has a smooth drag for when you hook up to the fish of a lifetime. The Trophy Hunter Jig series are built on lightweight blanks and use light materials for the guides and reel seat, weight reduction is important when looking for a jigging combo as the angler is forced to use lots of energy to work the lure, therfore a light combo make a noticable difference especially when fishing for long periods.

SHIMANO STRADIC SW 8000PG SPINNING FISHING REEL

The new Stradic SW range takes the Stradic family of reels to the next level. Purpose-built for offshore, saltwater fishing, the Stradic SW features some of our top reel technologies found in our top end reels. Drawing upon the Stella SWC, both Infinity Drive and Silent Drive are included which provides improved pinion gear support and less wobble inside the reel translating to more powerful, and smoother, cranking. Improving upon the Stradic FL series, the SW series incorporates all the same water resistance technologies, but also includes X-Shield, an internal structure that helps keep water out and protects the internal gears. Coming in a 5000XG, 6000XG, 8000PG and 10000HG size, the Stradic SW range will be perfect for those looking for a lighter, offshore reel.
