Shimano Talica 12 & T-Curve PE8 Overhead Jigging Fishing Combo

We put this combo together for those jigging and livebaiting for the biggest fish out there, think XL Kingfish, Dogtooth Tuna and other oversized pelagics. The Talica 12 is a compact overhead reel, its narrow spool makes it a great jigging reel. Dont be fooled by the small size, this reel has 20kg of drag meaning you can lock up past sunset and put the breaks on big fish heading towards structure. We opted for the 2 speed Talica for this combo, the low gear feature is helpful during prolonged fights and when the fish is sitting under the boat. The Shimano T-Curve Deep Jig rods are built ultra tough and have plenty of lifting power, when hooked up you can use a gimbal or rod bucket to get optimal leverage on the fish and pull them away from structure. This combo also makes a good heavy livebaiting setup as well, weather you want to troll baits along the surface or in a downrigger.
