This is an awesome light overhead outfit, ideal for using lucanus style jigs such as the Daiwa Kohga and Shimano Baku-Baku, dropping these lures into ground that is 50-110 meters deep is a super effective way to catch heaps of fish, from Snapper and Pearlies to Trag and Mulloway. You can run 300m of PE4 line on these overhead combo and they will still be light, compact and easy to fish with, the Tekota is well sealed, has a smooth drag system and will have no issues stopping larger Pelagic fish despite its small size. The Tekota has a line guide, meaning you wont need to manually adjust the linelay of the reel when bringing in lures or fish from deeper water. The Trevala B comes in at 7ft long, we like a longer rod for this style of fishing as you'll be able to manouver fish around the boat easily and if you want to fish your lure or bait in the rodholder the extra length will keep your line away from the boat. These Trevala rods have a nice soft tip meaning the blank soaks up pressure nicley and you will pull hooks on less fish. The rod is rated 20-40lbs meaning if you come across a Kingfish or Longtail Tuna by-catch you can crank up the drag and put some serious pressure on bigger fish. This combo comes spooled with multicolour x8 Daiwa J-Braid.
