The Trophy Hunter rod is built on a lightweight yet strong blank, coming in at 7ft5 you will be able to get a long cast, even with lightly weighted jig heads. The Stradic has very good sealing and can handle spray which frequently occurs whilst offshore fishing, it is important to have a well sealed reel when fishing offshore as they will last you longer, additionally if water gets into the drag cap the washers can corrode resulting in a sticky drag system.
