Daiwa's Monster Mesh jig rods are as solid as anything, the power you get low down from these rods gives you solid leverage over fish allowing you to crank up the drag and put more pressure on. We spooled this combo with J-Braid x8 40lbs, a tough and abrasion resistant Braid used by the staff at Ottos Tackle World.
