Daiwa 23 Tanacom 1000 and Saltist 64HT Daiwa Electric Deepdrop Combo

This is a no fussing around deep drop combo, put together to help you fish for some of the biggest fish you can target on rod and reel. These rods are swivel tips, meaning that in big seas there isnt any risk of the line wrapping around the tip and snapping if you hook a fish. We like the Saltist 64 as the extra length keeps your line away from the boat at all times during the drift and the tips of these longer rods are slightly softer which is good for bite detection and soaking up movement from the fish. The reel is a Daiwa Tanacom 1000, the Tanacom's are bullet proof reels with 22kg of drag pressure that has proven itself over and over a thousand times and will do the hours of work with no issues.  The reel will come spooled with 80lb x4 J-Braid, we recommend J-Braid for deep dropping as it is abrasion resistant and thin.
