Wilson Blade N Tails and Shimano Citica Baitcast Combos

These Baitcast combos are ultra reliable and wont let you down, they come purpose built for different fishing applications such as dropping vibes and plastics, casting into snags and gutters with hardbodies or an all rounder combo. The Shimano Citica is a solid reel which boasts good sealing properties and a solid and smooth drag which is important for fishing for hard fighting species such a Barramundi. The Blade N Tails baitcast range are class rods, they have comfortable reel seats and can be used for long periods of time.

 

Blade N Tails 5ft4 20lbs, Citica 200

This combo is best used off of the boat, its short length allows you to fish deep into tree structure. The short length is good for line control and fishing lures such as vibes and soft plastics vertically, under the boat. 

Blade N Tails 6ft8, 30lbs Citica 200 HG

The longer and heavier rods in the Blade N Tails range feel like they were purpose built for casting hardbodies such as Samaki Redics up the back of snags or shallow divers like Gold Bombers up gutters for Barramundi. For this combo we chose the high speed Citica, this will give you an advantage when working deeper diving lures as you can stay in contact with the line as soon as it hits the water, giving off a better presentation. The quicker line retrieve will also help you extrace Barra from snags 

Blade N Tails 6ft, 30lbs Citica 200

This combo is the all rounder of the range, it is long enough to cast into snags and gutters with hardbody lures but also short enough to fish in dense tree cover and drop vibes below the boat.

Built with 100% Toray graphite cloth and fitted with Fuji FazLite guides. the new Blade N Tails series has been modelled on the hugely popular BNT Series.

18 models are currently in the range and the range consists of threadline and baitcasting models that have been designed to give you the advantage. 

From the ultralight 4-8lb spin models, all the way up to 30-60lb heavy baitcaster, the Blade N Tails series is as diverse as the fishing in Australia.

Shimano Citica Baitcast Reels 

There are three Citicas to choose from — the CI200I with a gear ratio of 6.3:1, and then the choice of high gear left or right-handed versions with ratios of 7.2:1. The SVS Infinity Casting System delivers precise braking range, the S3D Stable Spool Design features uniform thin wall construction that reduces spool vibration, and there are 5 SA-RB bearings and 1 roller bearing to make the winding experience even sweeter.
