Mud Crab

Mud crabs are found along most of the east coast of Australia and across the top end and into warm temperate waters of WA. They favour soft muddy bottoms below the low tide level and are generally found in sheltered estuaries, mud flats, mangroves and the tidal reaches of some rivers. Normally caught in traps or dillies with fish heads such as mullet for bait.
