Fishing for Giant Trevally can be very demanding on your gear, therefore requires the best and most reliable combos. Choosing the right combo for Giant Trevally fishing can be difficult which is why we have put together a collection of rod and reel setups, taking out the aspect of uncertainty when you are choosing a Giant Trevally combo.

Our Giant Trevally rod and reel combos are designed for throwing poppers and stickbait lures. We primarily use spin combos for GT and have setups that can be used off the boat or landbased. Our combos are rated from pe5 to pe8 meaning there are options for GT of all sizes, for example if you were to go out and chase the smaller, school size fish found on our northern reefs we would reccomend you use a pe5-6 rated combo with an 8ft rod. Although if you were to fish areas where the fish are known to be larger we extra heavy pe8 rods for this reason.
