Squidding, especially off of ocean rock platforms requires specific gear, most importantly specific rods to better your chances of hooking and landing a large cephalopod. It is important that you use a longer rod in order to get a desirable casting distance, typically squid rods have a slow taper in order to soak up the pressure of the squids lunges reducing the likelyhood of you pulling hooks.

Our squidding combos are made up of gear from brands such as Shimano, Daiwa and Yamashita, guaranteeing quality, longevity and most importantly warranty!!
