This is the ideal combo for the fisherman who is looking for a versatile and reliable medium setup for rock fishing. This combo is rated to 20lbs, meaning it is ideal  for chasing small Grouper and Drummer in the wash, distance casting for pan size Snapper or casting metals for Bontio, Tailor and Salmon. This combo can also be used casting baits and lures into gutters off of the beach. The Shimano Nasci 5000 is a reliable and smooth reel, CoreProtect and extra sealing help repel saltwater meaning this reel will be able to withstand heavy use in saltwater. The reel is spooled with 300m of J-Braid x4, a strong, abrasive braid. The abrasion resistance you get whilst using x4 braid is important whilst rockfishing as you are typically fishing heavy structure and environments where fish have oppourtunities to bust you off.
