Flathead Soft Plastics and Jigheads 

Flathead are a great fish to target for the beginner Soft Plastic fisherman and still and still a fun and commonly targeted fish by the expert, I have found over the years that they colour choice is not as important as with Bream and sometimes the Brightest colour you can get like Sexy mullet in the Zman Paddlerz or Chartreuse in Gulp can work great but dismally fail the next day and they take naturals, but natural colours are better to use if you are hoping for bycatch such as Jewfish. 

Jig head Sizes to use are 2/0 hook size for 4inch plastics and 3/0,4/0 hooks size for 5inch plastics, the weights to use are 1/8,1/6 and for shallow water and slow flow and 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2oz windy conditions, deep water and fast flowing rivers.
