Flats Popping and Stickbait Combos

Fishing the flats is a unique and rewarding way to catch fish, you'll be situated just above coral bommies in crystal clear, shallow water watching fish and other sealife just meters away from the boat. 

To properly fish these areas it helps to have the right rod and reel, we suggest setups rated from PE2 to PE4, 4000-8000 sized reels and rods from 7ft2-8ft2. 

The lighter combos in our selection are meant for casting light plastics and swimbaits such as the Zerek Live Mullet as well as small stickbaits poppers upto 110mm. You'll be catching mid sized fish such as Trout, Grassys and Small Trevally. Fishing the flats with these combos is seen as one of the most enjoyable ways to fish. 

The heavier fishing combos which are rated at PE4 are paired for those who want to cast heavy plastics for bigger Trout and Reefies, they are also excellent combos to throw stickbaits upto 80g over the flats. You will find yourself catching Queenfish, Mackerel, Mid sized GT, big Reefies and Wrasse doing this.
