This combo features the Shimano Sienna 2000 reel that will come spooled with Shimano Power Pro 4lb to ensure you get the most distance out of the combo. The reason we have chosen 4lb is because Power Pro breaks above what it is rated and the 4lb will break at around 8lb yet is still very thin. The rod with this combo is the Shimano Catana. It is light enough to cast anything from a Squidgie Fish or Berkley Gulp Crabby with a hidden weight to a Daiwa Double Clutch and it will cast them no problem. When chasing Trout on soft plastics we recommend using as light a leader as possible. We like to use Nitlon DFC but any good quality fluorocarbon leader will do so long as it is 6lb or less. This combo is a great combo for the beginner soft plastic fisherman or someone who only goes once in a blue moon but still wants a combo that will perform.
