At Otto’s Tackle World Sydney we offer a free reel spooling service in store when you purchase your reel and line from us. We spool your reel up while you wait.
If you are purchasing a reel and line on our online store (in the same transaction), you will automatically receive our `FREE Professional Reel Spooling Service`. Simply add any reel & any braid/mainline to your cart and you will be given the option to checkout with our `FREE Professional Line Spooling Service`.
We have a full range of the highest quality braids and monofilaments. Brands that we stock include Power Pro, Daiwa J-Braid X4, Daiwa J-Braid X8, Daiwa J-Braid Grand, YGK, Tasline, Sunline, Sufix, Momoi, Dogtooth Code X8, Fluidcast, Berkley X5, Berkley X9 and more.
We also offer bulk line options to save you money. Bulk spool options include Momoi Hi-Catch Monofilament, Fins Braid, Dogtooth Code X8, Power Pro, Daiwa J-Braid X8.
All our reel spooling is done on our electric line winding machine so it is packed on under the correct tension to ensure you do not get line cutting under itself under heavy drag pressure and lose your fish in the fight. Another advantage of reel spooling with the electric machine, is you do not see the oscillation of the reel and it is packed perfectly to the brim every single time. Of course, it’s also a huge time saver!
If you would like wind-on leaders attached to your line, we offer this service for free. We will also happily splice Daiwa J-Braid Hollow, PowerPro Hollow Ace and Sabre Dacron backing with topshots. We use a 4ft splice with a whip finish to finish the join. This is all done with the upmost care and precision. The advantage of splicing hollow cores like Daiwa J-Braid Hollow, Power Pro Hollow Ace and Sabre Dacron is, it’s the strongest joint possible and leaves no bulky knots and joins.
