This combo is a great one for most inshore Slow Jigging, the combo consists of the Shimano Maikuro 8-12kg 663 Slow Jig overhead, the Penn Squall 15 LW reel will come with 270meters of Daiwa J Braid PE 2 (20lb) Multicoloured x4. This is a bulletproof Slow Jig Combo and is not over the top expensive but still one of good quality. The Shimano Maikuro 8-12kg 663 has a jig weight range of 80g but we feel more suited to up to 150g so it is a very good allround rod. The combo also doubles as a nice light bottom bashing Combo. The Penn Squall 15 LW reel is one that is built strong so you will have no issues stopping big fish and having a reel that will last you. The multi colour J Braid will help you keep track of how deep your jig is should you need to fish mid-water.

MAIKURO II 662 SLOW JIG 8 - 12KG OVERHEAD FISHING ROD

A favourite amongst anglers, the 2020 Maikuro series is the perfect all-round graphite rod series that represents great value and performance. Now, the series has been given a sleek cosmetic refresh as well as some great componentry upgrades. The blank has been upgraded to a 30T Toray graphite blank, which gives the angler a crisp feeling rod when working any size lure. The guides have also been upgraded to Sea guide K frames to add a new look and feel, while the butt end of the rod still features the classic Maikuro style of mixed full-length cork and EVA butts across different models.
