The Caius is well sealed and can handle saltwater use, it also has a small profile and is comfortable in the hand. Daiwa 22 Crossfire rods are lightweight and have a strong backbone which will help you steer larger fish away from structure, additionally the Crossfire rods have a fast taper which makes the rod more responsive which is ideal for lure fishing. The combo is spooled with J-Braid x4 a strong and abrasion resistant braid with good knot tying properties for the beginner angler.
