This is a bulletproof jigging combo, purposefully put together for deep water slow jigging chasing species such as Snapper, Jew, Trag and Kings. This combo has enough line capacity to drop heavier jigs down into the abyss for species such as Bar Cod, Gemfish and Blue eye. The Tekota has a line counter which allows you to track roughly where your jig is situated in the water column, this means you can bring your jig up or down to where you are marking bait or fish. The Spartan SJ is a beautiful jig rod which can jig heavier weights than other rods in its line class, additionally its split butt design means that it fits comfortably under the shoulder when you jig. This combo is spooled with 500m of pe2 J-Braid, we opt for lighter braids when picking deep jigging combos as the thinner diameter means that there is less resistance with the water as the jig drops, therefore your jigs reach the bottom faster.
